Inspector will use a variety of inspection tools including CMMs, optical comparator, vision machine, hite gages, calipers, micrometers, thread gages, etc. while following the dimensions outlined on the customers' engineering drawings.

Gage/Toolmaker/Machinist Apprentice
Kent Gage & Tool Co., a division of Stanfordville Machine & Mfg has an immediate opening for an apprentice gage maker on 1st shift. Incumbent will be responsible to machine parts for gages and masters and to do the final assembly of these measuring tools which have very critical and tight tolerances.
Applicants need a minimum of 2 years of machine shop experience or equivalent. Individual is required to have a high degree of mechanical ability and high scores in HS/Trade School mathematics. Apprentice will be machining parts and assembling tools from prints.

Qualified strong CNC lathe/milling machinist to program, setup, and operate multi axis lathes or milling machines. Machinist prepares jobs completely for operation by setting up all proper gaging equipment, and machining an acceptable 1st piece to the customer's print. Also observes operation of lathe/mill, and verifies conformance of machine work to customer's specifications.
This position requires an individual with 5 to 7 years of experience in a machine shop environment involving turning and milling operations. We are looking for a person who has exceptional positive work ethics and wants a career with one of the largest precision manufacturing machining companies in Dutchess County, New York.

Incumbent will be responsible for attracting new customers into the company's business of precision machining of metals and plastics into useable, quality parts. Using a lead data base (ACT), e-mails and phone calls are made and brochures and other material are sent to the prospective customers.
Applicants must be computer intelligent and able to navigate thru the internet and access several different programs for marketing purposes.
Required to work 3 consecutive 6.5 hour days per week. All necessary tools are provided and the incumbent has his/her own office.
Typing skills, computer literate, business phone experience, and aggressive and assertive experience are all required.
Cold calling via telephone involving 5+ years experience is also required. Please note this is a part-time position.

Stanfordville Machine has an immediate full time opening for a Quality Control Manager on 1st shift responsible for managing 2 to 3 precision parts Inspectors, setting the departments inspection priorities, and assuring an on-time inspection process. Manager will also be responsible as the department's liaison with customers and for conducting manual parts inspections A strong managment record and hands on inspections are a requirement for this job. Past experience with ISO9001:2008 and AS9100B is a plus.
